Minors - Renewal / Reissue on Expiry of validity / Exhaustion of visa page

• Online passport application form (http://embassy.passportindia.gov.in).

• 2 recent clear photos 51mm*51mm (not older than three months, no uniform) with white background and DARK DRESS with frontal view. Ears, eyes open, forehead to chin to be completely visible, no shadows on the face and neck, no reflections on the glasses.
• The applicant should submit the application in person for identification and any one ofPARENT should accompany the child.
• Both parents original passport is required for verification. Also clear passport copy is required which includes the first, last & observation page if any and Valid UAE Visa page to be attached along with the application.
• Both parents original signature (sign should be same as per respective passport)is required on the declaration column of the online application and on passport copy.
• If one of the parent does not have the original passport at the time of submission, Sworn Affidavit andprior approval from CGI Dubai is required.
• If the parent's passport is under the custody of court or Police custody and if the papers of the same are produced then sworn affidavit is not required. Prior approval from CGI Dubai is required.
• For Minor Child Passport Renewal if one of the parent signature is missing on the application form :
• If one of the parents is presently residing in India/Abroad then Original Annexure 'D' signed by parent who staying abroad and Annexure ‘C’ signed by the parent who is accompanying the child is required.
• If parents are divorced then Custody Paper, Divorce Decree and Annexure ‘C’ signed by the parent who is accompanying the child is required.
• If it is death case then Death Certificate needs to be attested by Home Department of the concerned State Government in India. If death registered in UAE then Ministry of Foreign Affairs is required.
• Signature/Thumb impression should be in DARK BLACK INK and should not touch the lines of the box.
• The signature needs to be done in presence of submission officer. Minors can change the signature up to 18 years without any supporting documents.
• Current Passport in original with clear photocopy (of first, last, address page (if separate page), any other endorsement pages, Valid UAE visa page) and additional booklets original, if any.
• If Visa expired and within grace period of 30 days then only Photo testified letter and passport copy of the sponsor with valid UAE visa page is required.

Note: Eligible to get Full Validity Passport.

• If Visa expired and out of grace period upto one year -detailed explanation letter, Photo testified letter and passport copy of the sponsor with valid UAE visa page is required. Note: Eligible to get Full Validity Passport.
• If visa is expired for one year or more than one year prior approval is required from Consulate General of India, Dubai along with instruction note from BLS.
• In case if both minor and sponsor visa has expired/cancelled then prior approval is required from Consulate General of India with instruction note from BLS./li>
• Photo ID card copy with expiry details of ID - Emirates Id Card, Health Card.
• Any Changes/Corrections to be amended in the passport should be accompanied with documentary evidence; request letter with proper explanation and prior approval required from Consulate General of India, Dubai along with instruction note from BLS.
• A Passport expired for more than 6 months up-to 1 year should be supported by a request letter explaining the circumstances and the reasons for late renewal. If passport expired for more than 1 year then request letter with proper explanation and prior approval required from Consulate General of India, Dubai along with instruction note from BLS.
• Applicants holding passports in which Place of Issue, Place of Birth or Permanent Address is from J & K or Srinagar,If minorapplicant is holding a 5 year valid passport then Tatkal service is available.

For Abu Dhabi / Al-Ain Visa holder

• Abu Dhabi/Al-Ain visa holders applying at centre in Dubai/ Sharjah / Northern Emirates should provide the address proof in their sponsor name for the residency in Dubai/ Sharjah/ Northern Emirates i.e. Tenancy Contract/Electricity Bill in English.
• For Dependent's photo testified letter from the sponsor with the details of the accommodation mentioned and tenancy contract under the sponsor's name along with passport copy of the sponsor with valid visa page is required.
• If residing in company's accommodation or those who don't have tenancy contract under sponsor name then photo testified letter from the sponsor's company (in English) on Company Letter Head stating that their Visa is from Abu Dhabi/Al-Ain but currently working and residing in Dubai/ Sharjah / Northern Emirates.
